AGM Narromine
For those that were unable to attend, our AGM and General Meeting were held in Narromine on October 25th. The minutes of both meetings are now posted on our website.
Once again, Beryl and Arnie Hartley hosted us at the Narromine Aero Club providing lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. The weekend was well attended and a further 8 or 9 participated through the “Zoom” link
Takeaways from the Narromine weekend
New Zealand

In discussions around future flyaways we revisited in earnest a 10-14 day trip to New Zealand via Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands in 2026. We have since discussed this with Barry Payne and set on dates to work around. The plan is to depart out of Rylestone following the spring flyaway (more on this later) on the 28th September and return into Coolangatta around the 12th October. Anyone interested in this trip please register with David Miller (davidnmiller1@gmail.com) as soon as possible as accommodation on the islands is limited.
Pacific Islands
Interest in a flight through Noumea and the Marshall Islands to New Guinea was also expressed. It was thought that this trip could be planned for 2027 allowing plenty of planning time for a June/July expedition when the weather would be most favourable. Again, if interested, please register with Lawrence Paratz (lparatz@bigpond.com).
Pilot Proficiency Programs
The next PPP is scheduled in Deniliquin on the weekend 6,7 & 8th March 2026. The format for this weekend will be different from past programs with a greater emphasis on enjoying flying our Comanches. Put this in your diaries!
