The 2020 Spring Tribe AGM and GM were held by Zoom on Sunday 25th October 2020.
The Tribe Chief’s report for the year October 2019-October 2020 is available in an earlier Blog post and is also available as a PDF file.
The Financial report prepared by our Treasurer , Kevin Rankmore, is available here. In summary… the tribe is in excellent Financial health. The costs associated with running the tribe and supporting the PPP and fly-ins, which typically run at a small loss, are covered by the small profit made on sales of Horns and Oleo Housings.
The Membership report prepared by Jan Van der Spek is here. In Summary, membership is stable. When members sell their aircraft they almost always invite the new owner to join us, which is great. There are nevertheless still a fair number of Comanche owners who are not members. Perhaps if you kn ow any of them, you could invite them to consider joining
A Status report on the Horn and Trunnion manufacturing and sales process was presented verbally by the Graham as Ossie Miller was unable to attend the meeting. The report largely reflected the section in the Tribe Chief’s report on this topic, with an up to the minute status report. At the time of the meeting we had settled on a manufacturing proposal and an agreed price to sell to Johnston Aviation Services in the US. At the time of writing, just two days later (27/10/20) Dave Johnston is contacting as many potential buyers as are known to him and to us with a view to making a firm order.
Election of Officers
As no other nominations were received for the election of offices, the current committee were elected unopposed and willingly continue in their roles. You guys are far too sensible to volunteer!
Minutes of the Meetings
Tony Van der Spek continues to do an amazing job of keeping things properly organised. AGM minutes and the following GM minutes are already available. As noted on the day, these meetings can be rather dry, but they serve a very important purpose. They keep us open and honest. During normal times the meetings are part of a fly-in, but we have proved that we can also hold them successfully by Zoom if we need to.
